Tango Del Barrio offers tango classes and tango events, workshops, music events, milongas (a dance event) and practicas (a time when dancers get together to practice and dance in a setting less formal than a milonga).

Sign up for a class (if you are new to tango then make it an introductory class) by completing the registration form. Or please come to any of our events, non dancers or new dancers are always welcome. CLASS POLICIES

Registration:

On the website: www.tangodelbarrio.com.

By mail:  Tango del Barrio, 4046 Hamilton Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45223

In Person:  at the studio, the first or 2nd week of the class series.

Call or e-mail the teacher directly.

Payment: Payment, by cash or check, may be mailed in (see above) or paid the 1st class session, payable to “Tango del Barrio”.  Payment is for the entire series of classes---8 weeks.  High school/college students are half price.  Those who choose to re-take the same level class pay half price.  No refunds are issued for missed classes, however an additional “make-up” class is usually offered at the end of the session, at no charge.  Anyone who takes the 1st class and decides not to take the whole series, pays only for that one class.

Class Duration:  Regular classes run 1hr. 15min. each week for 8 weeks. The regular classes are designed as a “series” to build on material from week to week rather than individual “drop-in” classes.  Registration is open for the 1st 2 weeks of class. Additional workshop and “drop-in” classes may be offered. These times will be posted with the description of the class for registration.

Dance shoes:  Leather soled shoes are recommended.  These do not have to be “dance” shoes, any shoe that allows pivoting freely will work.

Partners:  Partners are recommended, but not required, unless specifically stated in the description of the class.

Cancellation of class:  Due to weather or personal emergency, a class or event may be cancelled.  It the weather is questionable, please check the website.  If a personal emergency arises, you will be contacted by phone or e-mail.  Your contact info will be collected when you register.

Parking:  Free parking is available on the street or in the lot directly behind the building. Parking is also available in the Northside merchant lot.  Private lots will tow unauthorized vehicles.
